So according to the article that we read, I must be old. Because reading the quotes from the elderly I was thinking to myself "uhm yulp...I was thinking that". I mean I know having a child ages you, but I didn't realize I was even too old to enjoy technologies my age group is enjoying! Yeah so that is all sarcasm. Some of these new technologies, mostly new apps that are coming out are pointless and stupid! I think that the key thing to making a new app or technology successful is that it has to help college students multi-task. In the article they mentioned four-square. Yeah...Stupid! What the heck is the point of letting the entire world know your location. Unless you are wanting to run away from home or plotting to off yourself and just want somebody else to do the dirty work for you. It is stupid and entirely unsafe! So here is what their little logo looks like in case you are dead and don't go anywhere in public. |
However, I am actually my age when it comes to actual pieces of technology. I love getting new pieces of technology and figuring out every way to navigate it and to intricate it into my everyday life. My dad was just like the women in the article, he refused to get a smart phone because he always said he had a Kindle, so no reason to get a smart phone that he had to pay monthly for. Well, he just got it. And loves it I must say. He loves the voice controls that he can do. My grandparents are not going to die with a smart phone, but they do have a huge HDTV. So they pick and choose which technologies that they like the best and they use it.
